The University-Collaborative Emerging Dancer and Emerging Fashion Textile Designer Development Project was selected for the “FY2013 Promotion for Emerging Artists Who Create Next Generation Cultures” project announced by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. This project is a dance and fashion textile collaboration between Ochanomizu University (dance) and Joshibi University of Art and Design (fashion textiles). The purpose of the project is to produce artists who can utilize the dance-fashion textile collaboration to create original, unique stage productions. Specifically, the program holds performances and training courses for emerging dancers and emerging fashion textile designers, so that they can experiment with possibilities in stage design and acquire a broader knowledge and perspective for their future creative activities.
